Plastics Industry Award 2025 WINNERS

We are thrilled to win the PIA 2025 award for Sustainable Extrusion Technology.

Our project with our customer Flexipol epitomises the sustainable category. Flexipol set out to achieve a zero-waste goal and have now eliminated their offsite recycling by bringing it all in house, using a closed loop operation. The semi automatic Plasmac Alpha S Plus repelletising extruder works inline, turning scrap into high quality recycled material, requiring minimal operator time. It is energy efficient and payback has been achieved in a matter of months.

Considerable savings have been made, not only financially but in terms of reduced energy consumption, zero transport usage and all recycled material goes straight back into the production process.

UK Extrusion will continue to support Flexipol with consumables and spares and preventative maintenance visits by our UK based engineers.
